A FALCONRY experience in Machynlleth has been named Wales’ ‘Outdoor Venue of the Year’.
The winners of the fourth Welsh Hospitality Awards 2019 were announced at a ceremony at The Exchange Hotel in Cardiff.
The awards were an exclusive celebration of the people and businesses that make the country a great place to visit or call home; from restaurants, bars and hotels to shopping complexes, festivals and cultural venues that enhance the country’s cultural landscape.
The event was hosted by Polly James, who presented 32 awards to the deserving winners, acknowledging them for their hard work and determination to making Wales the incredible place we all appreciate.
Winners were voted for by the public and are a true reflection of the success, professionalism and ethos; three qualities that set them apart from the others.
In addition, the awards celebrated those who contribute to making Wales a top destination. They provided a platform to thank those who constantly deliver memorable experiences to visitors and residents alike.
The competition was fierce but Falconry Experience Wales from Machynlleth was crowned winner in the Outdoor Venue of The Year category and took the trophy home.
A spokesman for Falconry Experience Wales said: “We are delighted to be awarded Outdoor Venue of The Year for the second year running. Our Bird of Prey Experiences are very popular with visitors to the Dyfi Valley from the UK and abroad.
He added: “Our aim is to promote Bird of Prey Conservation and give our guests the opportunity to learn about Birds of Prey through handling and flying various species housed at our venue, including Owls, Hawks, Falcons and Eagles. We also assist a Raptor Rehabilitation Centre in Namibia.”
A spokesperson for The Welsh Hospitality Awards 2019 said:“It was great to meet with inspiring people that work hard and go above and beyond the call of duty to meet their guests’ needs and improve the country’s cultural scene.
They added: “We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners.”
