Morben Isaf Holiday Home Park is situated on the edge of Snowdonia National Park near Machynlleth, meaning there are some beautiful walking trails to explore nearby throughout Wales. But you don’t have to venture far to be at one with nature at Morben Isaf or find things to do in Machynlleth. Cycling

There are also some great bike trails in Machynlleth. Dyfi is a stunning landscape, and home to the Dyfi Bike Park which hosts some of the best mountain biking trails in Wales. In fact, the largest mountain bike trail centre in the UK is in Mid Wales. Less than an hours’ drive lies Coed y Brenin, nestled in the heart of Snowdonia and welcoming riders of all abilities from leisurely family riders to cycling experts. The centre also rents out bikes and accessories so don’t fear if you’ve left your bike or gloves in your home away from home!

Food and Drink

Machynlleth is known for great food and is home to the some of the best fish and chips in Wales. Don’t just take our word for it, Hennighan’s Top Shop Chip Shop is an award-winning chippy!

Listed as one of the best places to eat in Wales, Ynyshir is a Michelin Star restaurant providing luxury food experiences just a short drive away from Machynlleth. Whilst this isn’t the cheapest of experiences, it is a fantastic way to treat a loved one to a night of pure opulence and grandeur.

Don’t worry though, you don’t have to break the bank for a great meal out in Machynlleth. There are plenty of restaurants in the town serving delicious, locally sourced food such as The White Lion, Number 21 and Wynnastay and the traditional country pub, The Black Lion Inn.

The bustling town of Aberystwyth is just a 25-minute drive away too. A beautiful and traditional Welsh beach, Aberystwyth is a great day out for the whole family. Aberystwyth is a traditional and large seaside and is a great beach for dolphin spotting in Wales, particularly in late spring/early summer. Here you can also enjoy a trip to the town’s traditional cinema, enjoy the amusements, take a stroll down to the harbour and shop in the selection of boutique and independent retailers. Aberystwyth offers a good night out for small groups and families, with some great restaurants, bars and pubs to enjoy.
