COVID-19 Update

March 2020

After recent communication and guidance from the British Holiday Homes & Parks Association (BH&HPA) and careful consideration from Salop Caravans Sites and Bywater Leisure Parks Ltd the decision has been made to close by midnight 22/03/2020. Until such time is safely to re-open.

These are unprecedented times. We all have a responsibility to consider not just ourselves but to the people of our country, the local community and on this park.

We are having to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable a few weeks ago.

Thank goodness for the announcements of support which have come from Government which should help us to be ready to resume business just as soon as the crisis passes; we will be making effort to ensure our staff are looked after during this period.

We ask our private owners on the park not to stay in your holiday caravan at this time and to be sensitive towards the views and needs of the local community and NHS. We are expecting the Government to give us more guidance very shortly. We expect a clear message that holiday, and touring parks must not stay open for business as usual.

Over the last 24 hours, there has been an increasing and understandable concern in local communities towards the owners of second homes and caravans, as well as holiday visitors. The governmentโ€™s clear guidance is that there must be no unnecessary or non-essential travel.

We ask our private owners who are not on the park not to come here until further notice, and if you are on the park please go home. We are following the Governmentโ€™s guidance so closing to protect you and wider society.

Understandably you will have many questions for us, we ask you to refrain from doing so until we have a clearer understanding from the Government and the BH&HPA.

We urge you to join us and co-operate at this difficult time please.

Our Fishing Lake is looking blooming lovely with the Water Lilies in full flower restricting some of the peg spots - however, some stunning fish are being caught lately; like this 8ยฝlb carp. Lots of positive comments about the condition of the fish too - they must have a good life ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽฃ
Yesterday Paul and Sandy from Montgomery Barn Owl Group ringed our 4 Barn Owl chicks. Fledging should start in around 2 weeks time at which point the dog walk will be closed 8.30pm - 7.30am.

It's good to slow down once in a while and take time to look up, look down, look all around; you never know what you might see to make you smile and be thankful.
